Position Description:
Highly respected and successful global AMLAW 100 firm is seeking a Collections Specialist for its downtown Los Angeles office.
The specialist's primary goal is to reduce the relative aging of client A/R through review, analysis and communication with the attorney and clients.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Monitor accounts receivable reports and update payment status information related to past due accounts;
- Follow up with attorneys on an ongoing basis to track collection efforts and to respond to individual requests regarding account information and/or analysis;
- Maintain client contact to resolve disallowances and ensure prompt resolution and payment; and
- Work closely with the Collections Manager and Management on firm reporting;
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be results driven
- Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel of the Firm
Preferred Prerequisites:
- BS or BA preferred
- Collection experience in a law firm preferred
- Familiarity with 3E Collection Software or similar professional collection software preferred
Hybrid:
- In office for training and then 1 day in office afterwards.
